Still here, my last trip to Kamiah rolled the KLR over to 16,000 miles so I have been in the shop playing musical shims with the valves. I only had one I could switch to another valve, so I called Cy and he had a used 265 I could use, which left me short two 260's. Of course the local Honda shop had 200 new and used ones but not one 260. Kawasaki wanted better than $14 each so I ended up finding some in stock at Rocky Mt. for $5.99 ea. + $7 min shipping.

Well that was too much shipping for two pcs the size of a quarter so I saved the $7 shipping by spending $303.89 and got free shipping, a Uni air filter, chain tensioner gasket, and two new Anakee 3 tires. That showed them what a guy will do to save $7 :)

After getting the engine down this far I thought about and researched going ahead and putting in a 685 kit, but there was not enough time before Colors to get it done. So maybe I will do that sometime this winter. So now you know where I been.
